Privacy

Clear rules, in plain words.

What we do

  • The script keeps a random visitor ID in one first-party cookie (renewed for a year on each visit) and in local storage, to spot return visits.
  • Emails typed into your site's forms are saved when the visitor leaves the email field, even if the form is never sent.
  • Person matching through our data partner is US only, and only on paid plans, which open soon.
  • Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are never checked with our data partner.
  • Anyone can opt out on a public page, and we stop matching their email.
  • IP addresses are left out of your Slack alerts, CSV, webhook and API.

What you do

  • Confirm you own the website when you add it.
  • Paste our ready-made text into your privacy policy, so visitors know.
  • Turn off form capture in Settings if you don't want it.
  • Check the rules where you sell. This isn't legal advice.

Questions

Good to know.

Can you see who visits your website?

Yes, for part of your traffic. When someone visits from a company network, you see the company, the pages they read and when they come back. People who type their email into a form on your site are identified by that email, and paid plans (opening soon) will add named US visitors through a data partner. Visits from home Wi-Fi or mobile data usually stay anonymous. A visitor on a VPN may stay anonymous or show up as the VPN company.

How does website visitor identification work?

You add one small script to your site. It records page views, time on page and return visits, using a first-party cookie and local storage. For each visit we look up the IP address in public reverse DNS and internet registry records to find the company that owns the network, then take the company's name, logo and LinkedIn page from its own website. Paid plans, opening soon, will also check US visits with a data partner for a named person.

How accurate is it?

It names a company only when the visit comes from a network registered to that company. Home broadband and mobile data usually show as anonymous. Visitors on a VPN or a hosting network can show up as that VPN or hosting company instead of their own. Match rates depend on who visits your site, so we don't promise a number. Named-person matches come with paid plans, which open soon. They depend on the data partner and only cover US visitors.

Can Google Analytics show who visited my website?

No. Google Analytics shows your traffic in totals: how many people came, from which countries and to which pages. It doesn't name the companies or people behind the visits. A visitor identification tool fills that gap, and you can run both side by side.

Can I get a website visitor's email address?

When someone types their email into a form on your site, it's attached to their visit on every plan, and it doesn't use any of your monthly matches. A work email also tells you their company. Forms with a password field, like login forms, are skipped, and you can switch form capture off. Paid plans, opening soon, will also match some US visitors to a named person through a data partner.

Does it work with Slack, HubSpot and Instantly?

Slack alerts, a webhook and CSV export are on every plan. Paid plans, opening soon, will add HubSpot, Instantly and an API. HubSpot and Instantly get the visitors who have an email, from a form fill or, on paid plans, a person match. Each one can fire for every identified visitor or only the hot ones, and the webhook works with tools like Zapier, Make, Clay or n8n.

Is it really free?

Yes. The Free plan covers one website and 500 company matches a month, with form-fill leads, Slack alerts, a webhook and CSV export. No credit card. Each visitor we match to a company uses one match, and when you reach 500, matching pauses until the next month. Named US visitors, HubSpot, Instantly and the API are on paid plans, which open soon.

Is website visitor identification legal?

It depends on where you and your visitors are. Named-person matching (on paid plans, opening soon) only runs for US visitors and skips anyone whose browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You add our ready-made text to your privacy policy, and anyone can opt out on a public page. Check the rules where you sell. This isn't legal advice.
